The Foundation's Mission  
What is the Earlham Foundation Fund?
The Earlham Foundation Fund was organized in 1994. Its purpose is to seek and accept contributions in order to fulfill the Foundation’s goal to enhance the educational effectiveness of the Earlham Community School. The Foundation will support the school’s mission which is: “to develop responsible, independent, productive citizens.”

Who is in charge of the Foundation?
The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. They are responsible for selecting projects and dispensing funds. The Foundation operates independently from the School Board. Directors shall be elected by the Foundation membership
annually.

What projects will be funded through
the Foundation?

The Foundation will fund projects that will meet the school’s mission, such as:
Technology
Laboratory Equipment
Fine Arts
Special Programs
Other educational needs as identified


How can contributions be made to the foundation?
Contributions may be made directly to the foundation in some of the following ways:
Check Wills
Pledge Trusts
Stock Estates
Real Estate Memorials
Bequests Cash

Are all donations tax-deductible?
Since the Foundation is a non-profit organization, the I.R.S. recognizes all contributions as tax-deductible.

How will disbursement of “Funds” be made?
The funds generated in one calendar year may be dispersed the following year at the discretion of the Board. Donations may be made for special projects by contributors and will not be subject to the above allocations. Such projects must be approved by the Board of Directors and school officals.
